About
Smooth pixelization transition system for GameMaker. Ready to use in your projects - just drop the object and call the functions.
Features
Room transitions
- Pixelization → room change → unpixelization - smooth transition with frozen image
- Configurable hold time at maximum pixelization
- Callback support - execute any code at the moment of transition
Live effect (without room change)
- One-time pixelization - press SPACE, image pixelizes and stays
- Unpixelization on demand - ESC restores sharpness
- Smooth control by holding - up/left arrows pixelize while held, down/right arrows unpixelize
- Effect works in real-time - camera and objects keep moving in the background, everything is pixelated in real-time
- Thanks to left-right and up-down arrows you can set your own preferred pixelization level
Demo controls
- LMB - transition to Room2
- RMB - transition to Room1
- WASD - camera movement
- SPACE - pixelization with hold
- ESC - unpixelization
- ↑ / ← (hold) - pixelize smoothly
- ↓ / → (hold) - unpixelize smoothly
Available functions
transition_to_room(room, speed, hold) // transition to room
transition_pixelize(max, speed) // pixelize and stay
transition_unpixelize(speed) // unpixelize to the end
pixelize_start(max, speed) // pixelize (for holding)
pixelize_pause() // stop in place
unpixelize_start(speed) // unpixelize (for holding)
